McCORMICK X2: SMALL OUTSIDE, BIG INSIDE

With its small footprint, its agility and its incredibly light weight design, the X2 ensures excellent maneuverability and minimum soil compaction, making it ideal for vegetable growing farms, orchards and vineyards, greenhouses and overhead trellis systems. The X2 is also a great choice for municipal applications such as maintenance of green spaces, snow removal and salt spreading. Its light weight also helps to protect lawns in golf courses, parks and gardens.

Features

Engine

The two models in the range, X2.055 and X2.060, thanks to the 1.9-litre, 3-cylinder, turbo aftercooled engines, achieve a maximum output of 49 and 57 horsepower (ISO) respectively, with maximum torques of 180 and 200 Nm already available at 1200 rpm. An important new feature is the availability of the Engine Memo Switch that allows you to save engine rpms and to quickly retrieve them with a practical switch on the right-hand console.

Transmission

Entirely designed and constructed by Argo Tractors, the Speed Four transmission is one of the strong points of the X2. Rugged, efficient and versatile, the Speed Four transmission offers perfectly balanced gears ratios and speeds to improve the productivity of every job. The transmission features four synchronized gears and up to four mechanical speed ranges and allows a top speed of 30 km/h. A creep speed option provides 16 forward and 16 reverse gears with speeds as low as 220 m/h. The X2 features a synchro shuttle that allows the operator to automatically shift from forward to reverse by simply operating the shuttle control lever adjacent to the steering wheel.

Driving Position

The ROPS version of the X2 strikes at first sight with its new design. A careful study of lines and surfaces creates a functional style where the tractor’s dynamic shapes and low profile make work easier in any situation. The driving position is spacious, comfortable and safe, and ensures exceptional all-round visibility. Compact, ergonomicallydesigned and powerful, the X2 tractor aims at maximum productivity.

Inside the cab of the X2, every detail has been thoughtfully considered in order to provide a comfortable and safe working environment all year round. The four-post design with rear-hinged doors provides ease of access to the driving position and offers unequalled all-round visibility and exceptional levels of comfort. The fully adjustable driver’s seat is ample and comfortable, the steering column can be tilted to suit the driver’s needs, all control levers and pedals are ergonomically positioned, and the digital instrument cluster keeps everything under control. The cab of the X2 is FOPS certified to protect operator from branches, stones and other falling objects, making it ideal for forestry applications and for use on rocky terrains.

Hydraulics

The fuel tank has a 40-litre capacity, while the hydraulic flow rate is increased to 35 litres/minute for the rear lift and it also has a dedicated 20-litre/minute steering pump.

The category one three-point hitch rear lift system can lift up to 1200 kg and the front lift system, optional with or without a 1,000 rpm PTO, up to 400kg. There are 3 additional spool valves available (2 standard valves and 1 optional floating valve). The controls are installed on the new console.

The rear mechanical PTO is available in 2 different speeds: 540 and 540E, plus the synchronized forward speed. The dual traction front axle has an electro-hydraulic engaging “Hydralock” differential lock in both the STD and GE versions.
