What You'll Do:
Inspect heavy agricultural equipment for proper performance and inspect it to detect any faults or malfunctions.
Diagnose faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment to determine the extent of repair required.
Adjust Heavy agricultural equipment and repair or replace defective parts, components, or systems using hand and power tools.
Test repaired equipment to ensure proper performance and that the work meets the manufacturer's specifications.
Clean, lubricate, and perform routine maintenance and repair work on heavy agricultural equipment.
May attach components and adjust new heavy agricultural equipment.
May perform road service call trips to inspect and repair heavy agricultural equipment on customer worksites.
Duties Include:
Inspect, diagnose, and repair various types of heavy agricultural equipment using computerized diagnostic tools and hands-on testing.
Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues
Repair and maintain mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, filter replacements, and lubrication.
Assemble and disassemble heavy equipment components.
Repair and replace defective parts/components using hand and power tools.
Test equipment after repairs to ensure proper functionality.
What We're Looking For:
Heavy Duty Technician Red Seal (required).
At least 3 years (required) of previous experience as a mechanic, preferably in a dealership setting.
Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing heavy machinery/farm equipment.
Ability to perform heavy lifting as required in the repair process
Strong mechanical knowledge of industrial and agricultural equipment
Familiarity with electrical systems in heavy equipment
Experience working with hand tools specific to heavy machinery repairs
Ability to dig into equipment for maintenance purpose
Familiarity with brands such as JCB Agriculture, McHale, TYM, and other agricultural equipment manufacturers.
